I admit this is more of a venting type of post…but what can I say, sometimes you just need to vent!
So my husband and I are really trying to take care of student loans etc. and get out of DEBT fast! Thanks goodness we’re not up to our ears in it, and that we have an end in sight (thanks to my money savvy husband). But due to some new adventures life has presented us, we REALLY need to be extra careful in where our money is spent, and how much of it!
While on my way to a bridal shower with an old friend, she told me about cloth diapers and how much money you can save on them, after doing research my husband and I concluded that we could save AT LEAST 1,000$ per child on cloth diapers!
This is where the vent session comes in…do any of you know how many cloth diaper nay sayers there are?!?! My goodness! Why does it matter to YOU what I put on MY childs butt?! Good heavens!
I know cloth diapers are a lot of work, I know that some of the old ones really turned people off to them! But seriously?! There are so many modern kinds and cuts of disposable diapers, and most of the people who make and sell them, USE them themselves, of course they’re aware of blow outs etc.
I’m just frustrated with daisy downers. Life is hard, the economy sucks, and I’m determined to save money any way I can. So bring on the cloth diapers, all you’ve done is made me more determined to prove that I can save money and be way happier with my poopy cloth diapers. Geesh!
Besides how cute are baby butts in cloth diapers?!

Welcome to my blog! I hope you enjoy your stay.

Go for it! Momma's prerogative to save some money! My parents had me in cloth diapers because times are hard as newlyweds. Looks like I turned out okay! Sometimes people give too much advice like they think it's their kid you are bearing or something…

Oh Jessica, you will find that people will offer up their two cents on just about everything when it comes to kids. I was unable to nurse 4 of my babies and boy did I hear about it from the nursing moms. And then wouldn't you know it, with the one kid I was able to nurse I heard about it from the bottle fed moms – I couldn't win and I didn't care! LOL =D
I would love to cut the expense of diapers – I've had two in diapers for a long time – but I'm to chicken to switch to cloth. LOL =D
Good luck with it and always remember, you are the parents and it is your baby so know matter what you stick to doing what is best for your family. If anyone has a problem with it simply tell that that “this is what works for us” – and then change the subject! LOL =D
we use cloth on Ashlynn and I love them I made the majority of hers and yes people always ask why in the world I use them and I can't
understand why people don't get it. just be
confident in the way you tell people you use cloth diapers and your reasons people don't usually give you dirty looks or say negative things, to your face anyways. cloth diapers
are super easy when you have all the information on how to properly use and wash them my husband and his 19 year old brother who is our babysitter have no problems using them either so don't feel overwhelmed by all the information just keep your resourses close and know who to ask when you run into a problem you are more than welcome to call me if you need help with anything even if you need a supplier I make some pretty awesome ones. good luck with everything it is definetly worth it
Fergy bunch I'll help you too the only thing better than cloth diaper your baby is cloth diapering two babies:)
I've been thinking about doing that myself. In fact, my husband and I were just talking about it last night. I just haven't decided yet if I can handle the extra laundry. I kind of suck at laundry already so I need to get that working better first and then I may join you in the cloth diaper experience.
