The True Gift of Christmas

In getting all set up for Christmas this year. Being that we just moved into a new house we’re definitely lacking in furniture, etc. Back home, my mom has tons and tons of Nativity’s that she would display all over the house. I absolutely LOVE that tradition and wanted to carry that out here. We don’t have many places to display things though. So I decided for one of our Nativity’s that I would put it underneath the tree.
With my naughty kitty Tofu, I was expecting to have to re set up the figures at least once every night. It has yet to happen! I was stressing for a while that we had no gifts underneath the tree, just our little nativity. And then that’s when it hit me. We have a reminder of the greatest gift of all sitting underneath our Christmas tree. The representation of the birth of our dear Savior Jesus Christ. A symbol of his birth and life. We truly have the best gift of all underneath our tree. And for that realization I am truly grateful. A nativity underneath the tree will definitely be a new tradition in our home. And on the plus side, it’s one designed for children to touch and play with…that way it won’t be destroyed!
We are truly blessed!

  2. That is a beautiful reminder and a great idea! Where did you get the nativity? I think I would like to start that sweet tradition as well but with 5 kids I would need a “kid friendly” one. =) Thanks for the wonderful idea!

Jen, I actually don't know where my mom got the nativity, but I can ask her and let you know! Fisher price has a cute one called the little ones nativity that is super cute too! I'll pass on the info once I get it!
