Everytime I go to nurse him a few seconds or a few minutes into it he starts freaking out and crying. He gets almost frantic like he’s never eaten before. He’ll latch for like two seconds and start screaming again. Is this normal?! Does anybody know how to fix it?!

Welcome to my blog! I hope you enjoy your stay.

He may not be getting enough milk, or he it might be something you have on you, like nipple cream, etc. If he does this during the entire feeding then I would try pumping and seeing if he takes better to the bottle. With my oldest, Hannah, she screamed and cried the entire time and it turned out I wasn't producing enough milk so she was super hungry and super frustrated with every feeding – the poor thing would console herself with her pacifier and lost weight. I ended up putting her on formula and she took to that really well, which meant “happy baby, happy mommy”.
Sometimes the nipple cream can agitate their mouthes as well so make sure your wiped off really well before feeding him.
Another thing it could be is that maybe he is waiting to long before he eats so he is REALLY hungry when it's time to feed him and so he gets agitated with having to wait a second or two for his food to come. LOL Babies get so impatient! LOL
Good luck and remember to relax – babies go off of our moods. =D If he continues having a hard time talk to your Doctor and see what she says. Hopes this helps you a little, it's hard having them be so fussy and not knowing why. *HUGS*
