NSVs Non-Scale Victories…

I went on vacation and my weight loss went too so I’m playing a little bit of catch up…and that’s ok!
I just wanted to celebrate two NSVs!
Yesterday I went and saw a movie with my nieces! Since we were there pretty early, I decided that we should all go get a bite to eat before the movie since we were all hungry and food at the movies isn’t cheap (weight or money wise!) So we went and got some fast food. I used to love sitting in booths, but recently after gaining so much weight they were just really uncomfortable! My belly would either hit the edge of the table, or even a little bit on top of it…pretty gross, I know. So I went to sit in the booth and I realized I had a good six inches between me and the table! I was pretty happy about that!!!
My second NSV happened at the theatre, along with disliking booths, I also hated going to the theatres…it had gotten SO uncomfortable. I always had to have an arm rest up because I didn’t fit between the two of them. So instead of being uncomfortable and embarrassed, I just didn’t go to movies. So we go to sit down in our seats, and I was just fine! I fit! I was so excited, I didn’t even have to angle up an arm rest to make my hips fit a little better. Those were two NSV’s I needed in order to keep motivation. I suppose losing another 1.4lbs this week after my 3.2 gain (yikes) last week couldn’t have hurt either! :) It’s good to be back on track…now, only to get back into the groove of exercising…I’m so lazy sometimes!

  1. that's great! And hey, 3.2 after a vacation isn't bad at all! Vacations are a part of life and they should be fully enjoyed :) It's a good thing we know how to respond to them once we get back. Congrats on the beginning of a quick recovery :)

    Congratulations on the NSV's!!!!

As for the vacation gain, make a plan for what you would want to do different next time (if anything) to avoid it. As they say at WW, it's feedback, not failure.

Keep on keeping on!!! You're doing a great job!!!

    Love,
    A :)
