Hey guys! So I was ALL sorts of excited because I thought I had an original idea about a cute swim teacher appreciation gift and I was all set up to blog about it today…and then I saw this: Swim Teacher Appreciation Gift over at Lil’ Luna! I couldn’t believe it! My first thought was “you’ve got to be kidding me!” But instead of being mad or what not, I’ve come to accept the fact that great minds think alike…right?! right?!
Mine is a little different than hers, but it even has almost the same saying! Sigh…someday I’ll get the scoop on those brilliant minds!
This is what your finished gift will look like.
Supplies:
Package of Swedish Fish. (I bet you could even use goldfish crackers, or anything goldfish related…heck, you could even give them a real fish if you wanted to…take that Lil’ Luna
…)
Cardstock
Paper cutter or scissors
Fish stamp (or sticker, clip art…anything fishy)
Adhesive
This is where I teach you how to FAIL at making this gift…then I will teach you how to succeed! Boom! Lil’ Luna didn’t teach you guys that did she?! (I’m totally kidding, her blog is incredible, ya’ll should really check it out.)
Step 1: Cut your 8.5×11 sheet of cardstock in half. So you have 2 sheets of 5.5 inch cardstock. Then you will cut off 2 inches from the long side so you will have a 6.5 x 5.5 inch piece of cardstock. You will then fold it in half hamburger style I mean turkeyburger style (this is a crafty weight loss blog after all…)
If you don’t feel like getting all technical with the measurements, just line up your package with your paper and cut where you think it looks right. (That’s what I ALWAYS do…but I love you guys so I wanted to help you out a little).
Step 2: Put adhesive on both sides of your folded sheet (these are your 5.5 inch sides)
I had a cute stamp already so I just chose 2 colors I thought would look cute together…
Step 3. Prep your stamp with ink and try a little two tone action because it might look cute…
Step 4. Stamp where you would like your picture to be.
Step 5. Grab the only writing device you could find that wasn’t an ink pen…and write your phrase out.
Step 6. Realize that it looks ridiculous and START ALL OVER!
Ok for the REAL tutorial…
Step 1. Go into your preferred program for typing etc, and type out in cute font your phrase. OR you can just print off the jpeg I included below and make it fill the page and you won’t have to worry about any of the typing and cute font.

| I found my font at Kevin & Amanda It is their Smiley Monster font…and I pretty much LOVE it! |
Step 2. Is the exact same as Step 1 above: “Cut your 8.5×11 sheet of cardstock in half. So you have 2 sheets of 5.5 inch cardstock. Then you will cut off 2 inches from the long side so you will have a 6.5 x 5.5 inch piece of cardstock. You will then fold it in half hamburger style I mean turkeyburger style (this is a crafty weight loss blog after all…)If you don’t feel like getting all technical with the measurements, just line up your package with your paper and cut where you think it looks right. (That’s what I ALWAYS do…but I love you guys so I wanted to help you out a little)”
Step 3. Add your little fish stamp/clip art/picture where you think it would look cute.
Step 4. Attach your cute little tag to the top of your bag with your adhesive. I like to add a cute little personal message to make it more…personal.
And there you have it! A quick, inexpensive, simple Swim Teacher Appreciation Gift!
I’m really working on showing my gratitude more often and this really helped! Not only did it make them feel appreciated, but I felt great saying thanks.
It would be such a happier world if more people said “Thank You”. Don’t you agree?!
If you try it out I would love to see how it turned out for you so please link up!
Have a wonderful day guys!

Please remember that all of my tutorials and printables are for personal use only. This post was seen first at, and written by Cox’s Corner

P.S. Holla! We're your newest followers!
Oh yay! I'm so glad that you came over!
Did you and your hubby meet while he was on his mission? Where did he serve?
We did! He served in my home ward in the California, San Fernando Mission. But we totally kept it kosher then! We lost touch and 7 years later he found me on Facebook! Crazy huh?!
Not, crazy at all! My brother is engaged to a girl he met on his mission. Nothing happened there, but when he got home, they connected on FB, and they're getting married next month.
Do you guys live in California? Where is he from?
Facebook rocks!
We don't live in Cali (although I wish we did! I miss the beach!
