*UPDATE* As I’m sure you can tell, it’s fixed! There are a few things that still need tweaking, but Sarah was able to rescue my blog! YAY!
Hey Friends! So I need help…a few weeks ago I somehow broke my blog. I have no idea how I did it. WordPress told me I had to update things so I did and all of the sudden my blog went from looking like the adorable picture below….to how it looks now. And I have to admit, I HATE it. I have no idea how to get it back to how it used to be. If I knew how to fix it I would, but unfortunately I don’t. To top it off, whenever I post. If you are reading my blog through reader I no longer show up as Cox’s Corner, but as “undisclosed”.

I don’t know where else to turn, so I’m asking you ladies. Do any of you have any experience in working with wordpress and helping me figure out how to get my blog back to what it used to be? I just feel like it no longer represents me like it used to. Dramatic I know…but it’s still true. It’s just taken the pride out of blogging for me and I’ve invested so much time and money (especially money) into my blog, I’d hate for it to fizzle because I can’t figure out how to fix my stupid design.
Anyways…enough rambling, any advice would be appreciated. My only drawback is that I can’t afford to pay anybody to fix it. I’ve already paid a lot for the design and even more to be switched over. That’s how much I love my little blog. I also pay a monthly fee for my host and since I make exactly $0.00 from my blog I really can’t justify investing anymore into it especially when we’re saving for a home. Please help! I will be forever grateful!
If you’re looking for the Artsy Corner Linky Party, it’s in the post right below this one! Sorry for the rant/rambling, I just really need help with getting my design back to what it used to be and haven’t been successful in getting help.

Welcome to my blog! I hope you enjoy your stay.

Hi!
I’m really sorry to hear about u’r problem, blogging can be really challenging when “things” doesn’t work… I only have experience with blogspot, not wordpress. But everybody says using wordpress is much easier than blogspot, so I guess it should be an easy issue to fix. In blogspot, the black areas would be fixed just by going to settings, find settings designed “pages”/headings, and change the colors (to white or whatever you’d like). And the types/letters would easily be changed the same place.
Sorry for not knowing exactly how to use wordpress, but I’m sure it is not far away the same thing….
Good luck!
Ruthe:)
Thanks Ruthe! It’s so true that blogging can be challenging when things aren’t working. I have to beg to differ on wordpress being easier than blogger. I honestly think that blogger is a lot easier to navigate and tinker with. But it could just be me. If I could switch back to blogger, I totally would! Thank you for your advice though.
I don’t know anything about wordpress, but I wanted to offer some encouragement while you are working through your technical issues! for what it’s worth, it took me a long time to figure out the difference between the picture and your actual blog. (It’s the menu bar, right?)
Thank you so much for your encouragement! It is so kind of you to leave your comment! It made me smile!
I have no idea, but want you to know you still show up as Cox’s Corner in my google reader.
Lol thanks Kimberly! I’m relieved that I was still showing up as Cox’s Corner in your feed! That was a big stress for me as well. I’m so glad that my blog is back to how it used to be!
Dang Jess I wish I were computer savvy and had some clues for you. I’m still getting all your feeds through blogger and Cox’s Corner still has the same appearance as always…Just wanted to say thanks for the feature on the Artsy Corner! Hope you are able to get things resolved soon!!
You’re so sweet Phoebe! I’m glad that you’re still getting my feeds and thanks for linking up to Artsy Corner!
Glad you got it worked out, love the new design!!!
I am too! I was so bummed when it didn’t look like it was supposed to anymore! It was like my blog just wasn’t “me”. You know what I mean?
